Tommy Clyde Minter, 82, of Ricetown, Kentucky passed away October 17, 2025 at the Owsley County Health Care Center in Booneville, Kentucky following a short illness.

Tommy was born June 1, 1943 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Brown and Fannie Wilson Minter. Tommy was a postmaster at the Ricetown Post Office, a merchant and a farmer.

Tommy is survived by his wife Mrs. Geraldine Marshall Minter of Ricetown, Kentucky, one son Mr. Jason "Rachelle" Minter of Ricetown, Kentucky, his grandsons Mr. Owen Minter of Ricetown, Kentucky, Mr. Aiden Minter of Ricetown, Kentucky, and a special grandchild Waylon Jace Oliver of Ricetown, Kentucky and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Brown and Fannie Wilson Minter, two sons Thomas Wade Minter and Joey Minter, one brother John Wilson Minter and four sisters Ella Faye Gipson, Ann Rice, Lucy DeBord and Virginia Blackburn.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Brother William Owen and Brother Terry Sandlin officiating. Burial will follow at the Esau-Gabbard Cemetery, Indian Creek, Kentucky.
