Steven Craig Callahan, 55, of Booneville, Kentucky passed away February 10,
2026 at his residence following a brief illness.

Craig was born May 26, 1970 in Irvine, Kentucky. He was the son of
Virginia Begley Callahan and the late Dale Callahan. Craig was a member of the
First Baptist Church of Booneville. Craig attended Eastern Kentucky University,
owned and operated Callahan Hardware for approximately 30 years and cattle
farmed in Owsley County.

Craig is survived by his mother Mrs. Virginia Begley Callahan of Booneville,
Kentucky, his brother Mr. David Callahan (Charolette Moore) of Booneville,
Kentucky, two nephews Mr. Dillion (Angela) Callahan of Booneville, Kentucky,
Mr. Dalton (Kelly) Callahan of Booneville, Kentucky, one niece Mrs. Hunter
(Tyler) Parker of Booneville, Kentucky, one great nephew Corbyn Callahan, one
great niece Scarlett Parker, one step great niece and five step great nephews, one
aunt Mrs. Judy (Harold) Terry of Booneville, Kentucky, one aunt by marriage Mrs.
Cecelia Begley of Waco, Kentucky, one uncle by marriage Mr. Bob Gay of Ohio,
his cousins Mr. Robbie Begley and Ms. Terri Begley of Richmond, Kentucky,
Jimmy, Beverly and Lisa of Ohio, Mr. Adam (Ashley) Terry of Georgetown,
Kentucky and Mr. Neil (Yolanda) Terry of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his father Dale Callahan, his grandparents Jim and
Ruby Callahan, Emery and Nancy Begley, two aunts Dessie Gay and Dixie Gilpin
and one uncle George Begley.

Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2026 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at the
Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, February 13,
2026 at 1:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Brother Rob Morgan
officiating. Burial will follow in the Callahan Cemetery in Booneville, Kentucky.

The Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangement.
