Obituary

Ronnie Lee Duff, 62, of Ricetown, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, in Jackson, Kentucky, following a sudden illness. Born on May 14, 1964, in Norwood, Ohio, Ronnie was the cherished son of Sandra Frost and the late Clarence Duff.

Ronnie was a retired logger and a jack of all trades. He was a devoted member of the Shepherd Chapel Church.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Duff of Richmond, Kentucky, and four daughters: Mrs. Hope “John” Lucas of Jackson, Kentucky; Mrs. Destiny “Joey” Grove of Berea, Kentucky; Ms. Faith Duff of Richmond, Kentucky; and Ms. Gracie Duff of Richmond, Kentucky. Ronnie’s legacy lives on in his five grandchildren: Jesse Lucas, Jacob Lucas, Natalie Grove, Allie Grove, and Grayson Gant, each of whom lit up his life with joy and laughter.

Ronnie is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Sandra Frost of Beattyville, Kentucky; his sister, Mrs. Revellia “Dave” Rasmussen of Seymour, Tennessee; and his brother, Mr. John “Cindy” Bishop of Chattanooga, Tennessee and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Duff; his brother, Jimmy Duff; and his granddaughter, Renlee Duff.

A visitation for Ronnie will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Searcy & Strong Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the same location, with Rev. Jamie Brunk officiating. Following the service, Ronnie will be laid to rest in the Esau-Gabbard Cemetery in Indian Creek, Kentucky.
