Larry Wayne Barrett, aged 66, of Booneville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at his residence following a brief illness. Born on September 30, 1959, in Lee County, Kentucky, Larry was the son of the late Lewis Jr. Barrett and Thelma Stapleton.

Larry is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Ms. Jennifer Sue Barrett of Booneville, Kentucky, and his two sons, Mr. Lewis Wayne Barrett of London, Kentucky, and Mr. Scotty Barrett of Booneville, Kentucky. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Mrs. Pamela Barrett of Booneville, Kentucky, and his cherished grandchildren, Kayden Grace Combs, Rylie & Aubree Barrett, Dakota Wayne Barrett, and Mason Barrett. Larry's family also includes his step-mother, Mrs. Barbara Sue Barrett of Booneville, Kentucky, his brother, Mr. Michael "Missy" Barrett of Booneville, Kentucky, and his nieces, Ms. Kayla Barrett and Ms. Brittany Barrett, both of Booneville, Kentucky. He will be fondly remembered by his aunt, Mrs. Ruby Deaton of Beattyville, Kentucky, and his close friend, Ms. Rebecca Reynolds of Booneville, Kentucky, along with several other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Jr. Barrett, and his brother, Louie Barrett.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the same location, with Brother Adam Stall officiating. Larry will be laid to rest in the Barrett Family Cemetery in Booneville, Kentucky.
