Kathleen A. Wilson, 80, of Booneville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026 at her residence following a long illness.

Kathleen was born on September 14, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Garrett and Malvie Wright Shackelford. Kathleen was a homemaker and attended the Beattyville Church of the Nazarene.

Kathleen is survived by her husband Mr. Bruce Wilson of Booneville, Kentucky, one son Mr. Ricky Joe “Joan” Wilson of Booneville; three grandchildren Katie Halsey of Wolfe County, Kentucky; Nikki "Jerry" Lang and Lindsey "Cobey" Durbin of Booneville; six great grandchildren Blayne, Kade & Ava Halsey of Wolfe County; Cayley Land, Chloe Land and Layla Durbin of Booneville; one brother Mr. George Shackelford of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Brother Rick Isaacs officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardin-Wilson Cemetery, Booneville, Kentucky.
