Charles E. "Chuck" Spence, 74, of Booneville, Kentucky passed away June 5, 2025 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Ky following a long illness.

Chuck was born April 1, 1951 in Oneida, Ky.  He was the son of Irvine Clay and Estella Burch Spence.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandra Kay Frye Spence, his son Charles Brandon Spence of Clay County, Ky, his daughters Starla Rose Smith of Richmond, Ky and Breonnah Kay Spence of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, his grandchildren McKenan Smith, Aaliyah "Dustin" Smith, Amelia "Gary" Lewis, Charles Devin Spence, Haley Spence, Aubrey Dull and Sophia Oaks.  He is survived by his siblings Edna Roush of Harrison, Ohio, Betty Abner of Hamilton, Ohio, Marilyn "Verlon" Oliver of Booneville, Ky, Virginia Ruth Spence of Lexington, Ky, James "Violet" Spence of Booneville, Ky and David "Linda" Spence of Annville, Ky.  Also a special friend James Paul McIntosh of Booneville, Ky.

He is preceded in death by his parents Irvine and Estella Spence, siblings Jessie Bell Bowden, Bobbie Jean Spence Oliver, William Spence, Anna Lee Spence Creech and Johnny Spence.

Visitation will begin at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Searcy & Strong Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday with Brother Freddie Berry officiating.  Burial will following in the Irvine Clay Spence Cemetery on Candy Branch Road, Booneville, Ky.
