Bertha Bowling, 64, of Booneville, Kentucky passed away May 31, 2025 at Kentucky River Medical Center, Jackson, Kentucky following a brief illness.

Bertha was born in Owsley County.  She was the daughter of Charley T. and Dollie Marshall Bowling.

Bertha is survived by her grandson Edward Bryand; sister DeEtta Thomas of Booneville, Ky and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Michael DeWayne Bowling; brothers, C.J., Boyd and George Bowling; sisters, Sylvia Gumm and Martha Belle Rice.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Marshall Family Cemetery on Wolf Creek in Owsley County.  Rev. Terry Sandlin officiating.
